POSEIDON : Greek god of the seas, earthquakes and horses. He is one of the twelve Olympians. Brother of Zeus and Hades, he rules the oceans with his trident, the symbol of his power. Often depicted as angry and unpredictable, he controls storms and waves, but also protects sailors. He is the father of many mythical creatures, such as the winged horse Pegasus.
